ANTI - RAGGING & EVE TEASING PREVENTION COMMITTEE

With regard to the University Grants Commission guidelines issued against sexual harassment at work places, the Regional Joint Director office has issued circulars in July 2017, to all affiliated colleges, advising to establish a permanent cell and a committee to develop guidelines to combat sexual harassment and violence against women at the work place. Keeping the above guidelines in view, our College has constituted a committee against sexual harassment and to provide a congenial and conductive atmosphere in which students, teachers and non- teaching staff can work together in an environment free of violence and harassment on the basis of gender discrimination.

Based on these, our College made it mandatory to adhere to the following

1. To ensure provision of environment free from sexual harassment.

2. To take necessary steps to prevent the harassment occurring.

3. To obtain high level support from Principal and Secretary to maintain a work environment free from violence against women.

4. Recommend the action to be taken against any person found guilty of sexually harassing the complainant.

5. To create an atmosphere that ensures gender equality and equal opportunities.

6. To prepare and submit a report of the statements of incidents at the end of the academic year.
