Youth Red Cross
The hope of every nation in the world is its young people. Youth Red Cross of our college (YRC) helps our young volunteers to make a significant contribution in meeting the needs of the most vulnerable people within their local communities. Any student of any discipline can become a YRC member. More than 100 students enroll themselves as active volunteers of YRC every year. We, in our institution, prepare our students to be caring citizens so that they have an opportunity to touch the lives of the needy and the helpless.
To enable the growth and development of a spirit of service and sense of duty with dedication and devotion in the minds of youth.
To develop better friendly relationship with all human being without any discrimination.
To encourage them to do community service through training and education
To disseminate the seven fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.
Having work-shops for YRC volunteers to enlighten their knowledge in first-aid and rescue steps in emergency.
Conducting awareness programmes for AIDS, Non-communicable disease like diabetes, etc.,
Visiting mentally retarded home, leprosarium, old age homes, etc., and providing lunch and make them happy with cultural programmes.
